Giving Back on International Women’s Day!
International Women’s Day is a time to reflect on the progress we’ve made all around the world. This is a day for all of us to call for important social change and to celebrate acts of amazing courage performed by the determination of extraordinary women who have played a huge role in the history of their countries and communities.
In celebration of International Women’s Day, will you join me in donating to Dazzle Africa’s cause to educate young women in Zambia?
Give these amazing ladies and young girls a chance to go to improve their station in life by helping them get the education they want and deserve. This fund will provide 1 year tuition + room and board for one young lady.
“Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.” Nelson Mandela
I was given the opportunity to do what I love and find my purpose in life as a Relationship Coach in large part because I had the option to have an education. If you’ve been fortunate enough to receive education, you personally know how valuable and life changing it can be.
It’s now time for you to pass along the torch to other women of the world who want to achieve their goals, so through Dazzle Africa I will try to bring the transformative power of higher education to as many women as I can .
This is your opportunity to make a difference in these young women’s lives. Please join me in donating today, even small shifts can make BIG changes.
Overview on Education in Zambia
Education for pupils in Zambia starts at around seven years old when they enter school at Grade One. Within Government funded schools, students receive a free education from Grade One to Grade Seven. At Grade Seven, pupils will sit for their Certificate of Primary Education and if they pass, will continue through to Grade Eight where they will then have to start paying school fees.
How well a child does on their Grade Seven and then their Grade Nine exams, then will help determine if they will be accepted into Boarding Schools within the Eastern Province. Passing at a lower level will enable them to go to the local basic and secondary schools to complete their education up to Grade Twelve when they take their final exams. The results of their Grade Twelve exams will determine if they are eligible to attend college, university, or a trade school within Zambia.
DAZZLE AFRICA: EDUCATION VISION
The Education Vision of Dazzle Africa is to provide holistic economic and academic supports to students and their families in Mfuwe, Zambia. Dazzle focuses on supporting students who have the academic abilities and mindset, but do not have the economic means to leverage education as a catalyst. Their educational scholarships have a primary emphasis on tertiary education (post high school) so that young people feel empowered to have choices to create a sustainable future.
What your donation will go to:
- Securing sponsors who invest in the long-term investment of the child. These sponsors provide annual funding that cover:
- Tuition
- Room and Board
- Transportation
- School Supplies
- Other services as needed
- Leadership opportunities when appropriate
- Ongoing communication with students that allows us to share updates with sponsors that include: academic reports, letters from the student and a recent photo 2-3 times a year.
- Focusing on selecting students whose parents are employees at the South Luangwa Conservation Society–to support those families who are taking a brave stance on animal poaching and merge Dazzle’s passion for conservation and education.
- Focusing educational sponsorships to and through tertiary education.
- Creating and maintaining an entrepreneurial marketplace, called Hands Over Zambia that sells local handmade art goods that are created by the students at Mfuwe Secondary School.
Thank you so much for your help, you are part of making this world a better place.
